Three-Star IOL Hayden Ainsworth Commits to Nebraska

By: Trevor Tarr

Nebraska added a new name to its 2026 recruiting class on Monday, June 16, as three-star interior offensive lineman Hayden Ainsworth announced his commitment. The 6-foot-5, 305-pound prospect from Biloxi, Mississippi becomes the sixth official commit in the class.

Ainsworth visited Lincoln during Nebraska’s big June 6–8 official visit weekend and is ranked just outside the top 50 at his position. His size, length, and athleticism make him a strong addition to a class that’s placing a heavy emphasis on building in the trenches. He’s also the second offensive lineman to commit to the Huskers in as many weeks.

“The visit was great,” Ainsworth told recruits.huskers on Instagram. “The people, the atmosphere, the culture; everything I loved.”

His commitment quickly made national waves, with ON3’s Hayes Fawcett posting a commitment graphic soon after the news broke.

With Ainsworth now on board, Nebraska's 2026 class jumps to No. 64 in the national rankings, a seven-spot climb from where it stood prior.
